“And I’d choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I’d find you, and I’d choose you.”

Hamza was born in 2014 as the youngest of three siblings. He was a healthy baby, and all we knew is we had a beautiful baby boy. At 23-days old, during a routine visit, Hamza’s pediatrician heard a heart murmur. This turned into an ambulance ride to the hospital, a heart transplant, two more open heart surgeries, and a strong fight from a little warrior. During all this, it was discovered Hamza had a very aggressive form of Pulmonary Vein Stenosis, which is what took his life two weeks before his first birthday. In his short time on Earth, Hamza touched the lives of so many people, and we carry his memory every day and miss him in every moment. While his medical story is a harsh one, I believe that Hamza only knew love. His little family loved him immensely and will say his name every day in honor of the young boy with an old soul who would smile no matter what.
